At 3MG our clients are an integral part of the team, as we want to:
- understand their needs and requirements so we can use our knowledge and expertise to design the most effective way to transfer their risk to commercial (re)insurers,
- ensure they fully understand how their business will be handled and by whom,
- provide straightforward guidance to make sure they are aware of how their business will be evaluated by markets and understand the best ways to present their risk, and
- be completely transparent about how much we earn from their business.
We prioritise keeping our clients ‘in the loop’, with placement updates and evolving (re)insurance market news, and therefore maintain strong lines of communication during and after the placement of their business.
Fully Integrated service
At 3MG our services to our clients do not conclude once we have placed their (re)insurance contract! We provide a fully integrated ‘cradle to grave’ service which can include programme structure and policy wording design, as well as the provision of on-going servicing, such as premium processing, mid-term revisions to contracts, oversight and processing of claims including claim settlement negotiation as well as the production and monitoring of program statistics.

The team at 3MG has succeeded in assisting its clients in optimising their (re)insurance offerings through effective risk transfer and pioneering new approaches to (re)insurance distribution. Structures that we have used previously include group purchase programs, facilities, (re)insurance of mutual entities and captives. With its market relationships and work with other (re)insurance professionals, 3MG is uniquely positioned to implement and oversee the development and placement of potential structures.
Access to (re)insurers
As an appointed representative of Bretton Woods International Limited, a registered Lloyd’s Broker, we have access to the world’s largest specialist (re)insurance market, which is home to 77 active Lloyd’s Syndicates, 8 special purpose arrangements and 7 syndicates in a box as at 31 December 2022. We also have access to company markets and Managing General Agents (MGAs) in the London Market, as well as international insurance companies.

As a small company we cannot hope to offer clients the breadth of services of some of our major broking competitors and, indeed, don’t try!
Where we feel we can make a difference is in the way we work with our clients in the areas of business that we do handle, outlined elsewhere in our website. Because we have been working in these fields for many years we bring our considerable experience, expertise and market relationships to bear in achieving what our clients want and in a way that makes sense to them.
We appreciate that clients have their own businesses to run and that insurance can be an ancillary function of what they do. We know that they don’t have the time or inclination to learn the ins and outs of placing risks in the market themselves but, equally, want to work with a trusted, knowledgeable professional, be fully part of the process, understand in clear terms what will be done to get them to where they need to be and have confidence that they are partnering with us and the carriers we use to achieve a mutually beneficial result.
If we’re successful in meeting a client’s objectives they’ll be happy, so will we and that should be evidenced in a long term relationship with us and the markets (and the individuals at those markets) providing their support.
